Linda, Me too; what grace, that Jesus was willing to lay down His life for me and that the Father loved me so much that He was willing to send His Son into the world to die for me, so that I could be reconciled to God.
This verse is always music to my ears and healing for my heart. I was a hot mess before I allowed God to save me. To know He loved me even when I was awful and ugly makes me fall to my knees in awe of Him.
Yes Marci, it certainly does minister to us. And as you pointed out, God certainly transforms us when He saves us. And as this verse points out, even while we were still sinners, rejecting His grace and love, He still chose us because He loved us. It makes me think of some lyrics by Sovereign Grace called "All I have is Christ". Here is verse 1: I once was lost in darkest night Yet thought I knew the way The sin that promised joy and life Had led me to the grave I had no hope that You would own A rebel to Your will And if You had not loved me first I would refuse You still.
Dianna, Thank you for sending me this artistic reminder of God's love. And thank you to your husband for his thoughtfulness that went in to carving this for us.
How very beautiful! This week I celebrated 32 years as a believer! I praise the Lord for His love towards me, and am thankful He drew me unto Himself and saved me from my wretched sin. To God be the glory!
Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I'm always blessed when I visit your blog and see the cards you make with scripture. How lovely.
I am so thankful that He loved me enough to die for me, and make a place in Heaven some day.
